This program enables the easy transfer of images from your digital
camera to your computer using a specified naming convention. It then
automates iView MediaPro to catalog your images using annotations
specified by you.
epicflow is distributed as donation-ware. You are encouraged to
donate $15
(or more if you are so inclined:)
if you find the software valuable.
- Easy transfer of digital image files to your computer
- Support for multiple naming conventions of your digital images
- Optional deletion of images from your camera/card after importing
- Optionally set finder attributes of image files
- Catalog images by event into a selected iView MediaPro catalog
- Easily attach IPTC annotations to your cataloged images
epicflow has been tested extensively using images captured by a Nikon
D70s on a PowerMac G5 running Mac OS 10.4.2 and iView MediaPro 2.6.4.
The software may run on other configurations, but your mileage may vary.
- Mac OSX 10.2 or above
- iView MediaPro 2.6.4
Run the provided installer. If you wish for the application to
automatically run when a camera (or external storage card) is connected,
adjust the Preferences in the Image Capture application to select
epicflow to start when a camera is connected.
You may remove the software by simply dragging the application from the
Applications folder into the trash. If you also set up for auto
launching the software when a camera is connected in the Image Capture
application, you may need to modify the preferences in Image Capture.
Although much time and effort has gone into testing many possibilities
of use, a few problems may have slipped through the cracks. To help
improve the software, please send any problem reports to epicflow@epicminds.com.
- epicflow may lose a reliable connection to iView MediaPro,
especially during importing the first image into the catalog. If this
occurs, you must restart both applications to reestablish the
connection.
- Setting the Finder icon image will not automatically rotate the icon
to the proper position.
- Although some code has been added to support other raw file formats,
it has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed to work. Currently, the
only support raw format is NEF (Nikon).
- An AppleScript error message may appear upon quitting the program: it
can be safely ignored.
